Kuka stands for Coco de Mer in French, that designates a kind of coconut in small size (usually the size of a lemon).
The beads are carved from the beautifully patterned part of the wood shell of the coco de mer. Thanks to the minimal hole size and the barrel shape of the beads, the tasbih exposes a perfect alignment. The thread's end is closedly attached to the moving pin of the end bead.
